Call it a side project, call it a goof, or just call it surprisingly entertaining. All seem to be true of this duo of hip-hop-esque tracks from Calicocat released as Sewer Rat. I won’t lie, I’d enjoy more of this.
Two brand new, live, tracks from Chrome Pony now available. Love the building freakout of “Burnout” and straight up rock goodness of “Mister Mister.” Long story short, approved. (Source: https://www.youtube.com/)
Posting about Todd A is a bit of a stretch in terms of “Nashville only” musicians – as he most definitely resides in California. However, he’s an alumni of so many Nashville bands that it’s worth giving him a pass. Also, the track was recorded at Battle Tapes and features a number of other Nashville […]
If you have a movie with a reference to the King of Hell in the title there is probably no better choice to make your soundtrack than Ascent of Everest. It’s a, understandably, moody undertaking and it will make you want to see the film. Perfect execution!

Speaking of D. Striker and the RR Party.. here’s his latest single. It’s everything you’d want and expect from a D. Striker song – an engaging tale, a bit of self degradation and a healthy amount of slide guitar.
It’s Friday the 13th – which means it’s time for a RR Party. Get yourself to The 5 Spot tonight for Chris Crofton, Ole Mossy Face, Tue Mommies and D. Striker himself. If you’ve never attended said event, do yourself a favor and do it tonight.
Mystery Twins -Â Ghost in the Ground due November 5th.
The new EP from MantraMantraMantra is an enjoyable romp. It’s psychedelic, it’s catchy, it’s accessible but still weird. Oh, and it has various samples interjected throughout from “Freaks and Geeks” – so you know it’s coming from a good place.Â
