Never let it be said that album art is not an important element of putting a release – big or small – out into the world. Maybe I’m biased as a graphic designer but the latest single from Kin Ship’s forthcoming full-length caught my eye, literally, and now I’m enjoying some soulful tones inspired by […]
I’m not gonna lie.. I’ve never really been into Natural Child. I think they do their thing well, are talented guys and great performers but there’s always been something about their Fuck You, Smoke Pot ethos that rubbed me the wrong way. Or maybe I, personally, just didn’t get it. That being said, I’m rather enjoying […]
Nothing wrong with a little straight ahead pop-rock and Tyler Black’s new single proves it wholeheartedly. The lead track “Oh No, Old Glow” has the energy you crave when dreaming of the forthcoming summer months. “All These Times” has that nice melancholy punch running underneath that we all know I’m a total sucker for. Looking […]
If you didn’t see it on the Cream already, take some time to watch this exclusive performance from Those Darlins featuring some other rather talented Nashville folks. (Source: https://www.youtube.com/)
One of two new tracks from a forthcoming BCS EP. Make sure to also give a listen to “Laffy Daffy” – hard to pick a favorite between the two.
Awesome new collaborative track. If anyone that gives you a weird look about loving the Nashville music scene because they assume it’s all lame country and singer songwriters.. send them this.Â
I couldn’t think of a better person to pay homage to one of last years finest releases. Matt Glassmeyer, aka Meadownoise, has released his fourth single in his ongoing Dark Digest series and it’s a great, new, take on one of my favorite tracks from the Tower Defense record, Mind the Menagerie.
Another single serving track from the ever pleasing repeat repeat. Aside from the fact that the band continues to deliver on a consistent level, I am told that this is the first preview from their forthcoming full-length set for release in March.Â
I randomly stumbled upon this little gem the other day and can not stop listening to it. I’ve no idea who is involved in it, what their plans for the future are or what sort of undertaking it was to even put this together but the results speak for themselves. Electronic, instrumental, a little dark […]

I sample a lot of music via Bandcamp and, nine times out of ten, whenever I encounter some serious big, heavy leaning, rock songs they are completely ruined when the vocals join in. Writing a big riff is only half the battle. So, it was a nice welcome relief to hear “The Loved One” and […]
