You know what sucks? When music writers won’t write about music because it’s “been out too long.†For instance, if your music is 20+ years old – someone could unearth it and write up like some new gem to share with the world. Inversely, if your music is 10 days old, people will write about it as the Hot New Thing to be aware of. But what of the music that was released 3 years ago? It’s left to sit because it’s no longer “fresh†and not quite “vintaged†enough.
Screw that! Adam Landry’s El Scorpion was released in October of 2012 and I didn’t hear it until last week.  Landry is a producer that’s worked with the likes of Deer Tick, Nikki Lane, Diamond Rugs, Sallie Ford and the Way Outsiders and more but he’s clearly a musician in his own right with plenty of phenomenal ideas that he’s able to execute best.
Get on this.
