  • basically, there’s a solo artist out in california working under the name jetpack who has apparently gotten some level of national recognition as well, so the jetpack we know and love wanted to slightly alter their name to avoid confusion. ironically, the band is now most frequently listed as “jetpack uk (formerly jetpack)” on most online stores, with both the art of building a moat and the cali-jetpack’s releases under the same artist name. most annoying…

  • I think it’s just kind of a joke… since they’re not from the UK. Just something to make their name different enough so they won’t be sued and/or confused with the other band.
